I’m Jamie Jackson and I currently live in Washington, DC where I work with the Counterterrorism Division of the FBI. I am very competitive by nature, and have always enjoyed team sports. Growing up in Florida I participated in a wide variety of sports including basketball, tennis, volleyball, and gymnastics.
My first experience playing dodgeball was in elementary school during PE class. I remember being really good at catching the ball, and the surprised look on the face of my classmates when I caught them out and was the last girl standing. I have my Dad to thank for developing my hand-eye coordination as he started playing catch with me before I was out of diapers.
Although it has been a while since my first dodgeball game things haven’t changed much. I still love playing team sports including dodgeball, as well as taking people by surprise who underestimate me!
In my opinion, maintaining a positive attitude is a critical competent in achieving success both in day-to-day life and on the dodgeball court. I am looking forward to representing Team USA!
